‘What does a romantic date look like, according to you?’
A question, written on this tea bag.
A girl I know showed the text.
‘A romantic date, what is that?’
‘Perhaps you should write it down’, I replied to her.
‘Yes, that is a good one..’, her answer to me.
Not a joke, but a good idea for her to do.
In the meantime, I was thinking.
Why shouldn’t I do the same?
‘What does a romantic date look like, according to me?’
I believe, for me, it is to be in each other’s company.
To perhaps even not talk or not even do something specific.
To say, it is not as complicated as we think.
A walk in the park.
The sun on my face.
That view over the city.
The smell of autumn leaves.
A wine glass on the table.
The sound of the coffee machine.
A look in the eyes.
The touch of your hand, searching mine.
A kiss on my forehead.
The silence is what we keep.
The feeling of water, when it touches my skin.
